Objectif - What is this Website ?

This Website is dedicated to coordinate the work of researchers located in different countries, towns, or laboratories. The research field investigated belongs to the Atomic, Molecular and Nano Object XUV Photo-physics.

We study the effect of the absorption of high energetical photons in the VUV-XUV range. The basis of these works leads to understand fundamental processes and to characterize the matter at ultra-short time scale. The dynamics range from the attosecond time scale (10^-18 s) for electron motion or femtosecond time scale (10^-15 s) for nucelar motion up-to microsecond time scale for a complete relaxation.

These photo-physical processes mostly happen in the ionosphere, or any moderately dense medium in the space. Experimental work is carried out in laboratory "simulating" these media using vacuum chambers and different light sources:

• Synchrotron Radiation
• High Harmonic Generation of Infra Red Laser
• Plasma/Discharge lamp...

Tools - How to work together ?

The host-server is dedicated to manage Website for a large community of users, for instance a world wide community. In principle, all registered users can participate in the creation and the modification of the Website. There is no need to wait for someone to be here/there or someone to have time do the work you want !
