Acquisition Software
Various version of the acquisition software has been developed and the current version is 2.x. The major improvements of this version is to :
- support various hardware detector type (segmented anode, delay lines...)
- enable online treatment
The maintenance of the oldest version is presently stopped, but in February 2008, the old projects have been upgraded in order to re-compile them with Xcode and Code Warrior (8.3). In some cases a complete cross-platform xop is possible (> version 1.0) for regular PC with windows XP, or macintosh (OS9, OSX- PPC or intel based).
The available versions are:
- GetData v 1.0: originally cloned by Michel Lavolée from the CIEL experiment to support electron and ion detectors. It is highly platform dependent.
- GetData v 1.5: a major upgrade done by Mathieu Gisselbrecht to support various anode types for CIEL and CIEL2 experiments. One or two detectors was available. It is partially platform independent.
- GetData v 2.x: current version in use. It is the last upgrade performed by Mathieu Gisselbrecht to support more hardware and have a more transverse deployment. It should be platform independent.
